Tests include: Chlamydia/Gonorrhea Screens for the two most common bacterial STIs RPR (Syphilis) Screens for syphilis, a bacterial infection that can cause serious complications if left untreated HIV Screens for HIV (followed by a confirmatory test to ensure proper diagnosis if results are positive), with early detection and treatment improving long-term health outcomes HSV (Herpes) Screens for both HSV-1, a common virus associated with oral herpes that usually does not require treatment, and HSV-2, which often causes genital outbreaks and may require ongoing management Hepatitis Screens for Hepatitis A, B, and C, viral infections that affect liver health These labs are often ordered based on symptoms, family history, or specific health concerns
