Higonokami Warikomi archive This is a solid piece"Warikomi" means 'sandwich' in Japanese. The blade of this knife has a central harder layer of SK steel for improved edge retention, sandwiched between two layers of soft iron for strength. This is the same construction you find in a Samurai sword. This knife has a blade 63mm long (so can be carried legally in the UK).
