On a recent trip to Maui

I did photograph that tree but decided to explore the park for a little while as the wet snow continued to fall

As I walked down a trail in Juneau in late fall

The fog diffused the sun and the rays turned orange

Sunrise Shapes Presentation:Print Only On a recent trip toWalking around the sand dunes of Death Valley National Park gives the opportunity to experience varying conditions with the light and shadows of the surface. While walking across the hardpan between sand dunes I looked towards the sunrise and noticed how the early light was illuminating the surface. To photograph this contrast I got a little lower and also found a line in the hardpan to bring your eye into the scene and towards the sunlight.
